Disney Potato Soup Recipe

I am ADDICTED to potato soup . Problem ? I suck at making it . I mean I am really bad at making it. I have yet to find a recipe that i can either follow and is good or that is just edible. I had about given up . Until PINTEREST !!!! I found this recipe on there.

It is really easy , simple and OH SO YUMMY ..

TIP : I did not add 4 cups of heavy whipping cream , which I suspect makes it so amazing.
I added 1 cup and the rest chicken stock , it was still amazing !

Its a bin , its a tote, no its an organization parade !!!

OH What can be more fun than this ... A Bowl Full of Lemons Spring into cleaning Parade. I dont know about y'all but I love looking at how other people live , even more fun how other people organize . Hence this blog and my organizational OCD projects I just started !!!

Have I fallen off the wagon yet ? No I have been sick with some migraines ( story of my life ) but tomorrow i plan to tackle the belly of the beast AKA my 19 yr old son's room !!!

Kitcher Drawers

I dont have much motivation today . However, I know myself and know I need to keep this motivation and organization going ... So I wanted to finish up the drawers I had left to do in my kitchen . I still need to organize a little better under the sink too . But its pretty good for now .
So here it goes......

Now to get the motivation to tackle my 19 yr old boys room .. he left it a NIGHTMARE when he came back this semester from college !

11 yr olds War Zone

I really wish I had taken before pictures of my 11 yr olds room . BUT it was actually a little embarrassing . It was a mess. I think he's part beaver , there were little pieces of junk all over the place. I guess he gets bored and just tears things into little pieces ?
So here is the after I know its nothing spectacular but its MUCH MUCH better than before.


His gaming area . As you can see the mess has started .. Or he tried until I got after him.

He has a dresser in his room but i emptied it so my mom can have it back. So now all his clothes are in his closet.

Linen/Hall Closet Disaster !

Today I sat out to tackle my "linen closet" in my hall way . Its never really been my linen closet though. Its been the junk closet and where i stash my coupon hauls from couponing. Which I have not done in several months and based on my stash of coupon products I need to start up again SOON ! So I took everything out . My mom found a deal on the show box size storage bins at HEB ( Local grocery store) they were 5 for $1.75 ! So i got 4 sets of them for $7 !!! . I need to try to find more they are so handy .

I have yet to get all of my linens out of the large totes I have them in . They are currently in my master bedroom closet . Why ? I dont know ? But I'll put them in the linen closet now !
I also tackled my 11 yr old son's bedroom today . THAT was an adventure . I did not take before pictures of it. Tomorrow I will tackle my 19 yr olds bedroom and the disaster he left me when he left for college !

Start of A New Week

Following my home management binder I have my meal plan done for the week, shopping list done for tomorrow, cleaning mapped out for the week and Im still working on the budget , that one is going to take me a while.

Im sort of winging the challenge right now since im coming in half way through . So hopefully i can get caught up in the process still get things organized the way I want .

Before After

This one was pretty simple. Throw out the old lids that no longer have homes. Which was a TON, and consolidate down what I needed ! Im really happy with the way these turned out . NEXT UP The cabinet where my plates go ! YAY !

A Bowl Full of Lemons 21 Day Challenge

My recent organization inspiration came from a site I saw on pintrest . A Bowl Full of Lemons and her 21 Day Challenge . So I decided to join the challenge and see how it goes. I have a jump start on a couple , well maybe catching up on some is more like it. I hope i can keep up with this .
So we will see how it goes !

Kitchen Cabinet Project

After they were cleaned out and I put in this amazing shelf paper I found at Target yesterday !
And after the cabinets were loaded back up again !

Bathroom Cabinet

This was a very disorganized and really under used cabinet before I organized it the other day . Again , inspiration from pintrest ! HAHA ! I also have rediscovered my label maker ! How I have not used this thing more often until now I will never know. Its my best friend right now ! My husband is loving being able to find everything.
Tomorrow's project, Kitchen cabinets and gift wrap closet !

Pintrest Inspired Christmas Tree

This looked a lot better after I put the giant bow on the top ! But I really liked it.
I wanted someone more colorful but couldnt find the right ribbons.

Getting Life organized

One of my favorite projects so far I found in A Bowel Full of Lemons is how she organizes her " Home" as in her life, schedules, meals ect . There were 2 things she did that I just really needed. One is the Home Management Binder , you can find the instructions on how I did it here. This is what I came up with after a little shopping trip to target .

I bought the budget worksheet printable from here . The other work sheets I just googled for instance " Menu planing worksheets" and used what ever was free. Since the budget was the most important thing for me I bought those .

The ohther project that i desperately needed and found on A Bowl Full of Lemons was the budget box ! Since we need some help on our budget and I tend to throw papers where ever they land this is GENIUS to me ! I know it might sound simple for some but sometimes you just need someone to lead you the way . I followed her instructions here !



I bought the box at Target although i was just at IKEA today and they had some cheaper ones .I bought these .

Now that my desk is nicely organized I have plenty of room,supplies etc to run my household from my desk !

I am hitting IKEA tomorrow to get some more storage things ! Or As my friends and I call it " THE MOTHER SHIP ! " I Just LOVE IKEA .
I priced some of the items i needed else where and IKEA Is by FAR the cheapest !
So IKEA here we come !

Pintrest inspiration ! Clean fridge . I will admit using the baskets for fruits and veggies seem to make them go bad faster. So I dont use them anymore for those things.
